Musik Kontakte – Das Rheingold, Die Walküre, Götterdämmerung.
Three programmes from German TV (no English subtitles) in which Gerd Albrecht introduces an audience of young people to Rheingold Scene 3, Walküre Act 2, and Götterdämmerung Act 3 scene 2. Each programme features the conductor introducing elements of the music and action, with singers accompanied by a piano, followed by a complete staging of that same scene in the Hamburg State Opera production. Featured artists include Heinz Kruse as Siegfried, Carla Pohl as Brunnhilde.
