Members of the Society receive copies of the Society publication "Wagner News". The Society holds a number of events for which Society members can purchase tickets. The Society receives a small number of tickets for the Bayreuth Festival which are distributed to Society members on a ballot system. In addition, the Bayreuth Festival booking office gives limited priority to Wagner Society members in their allocation of festival tickets.
Subscriptions for 2010 become due on 1st January 2010. After holding the existing rates
for eight years it has become necessary to make an increase in the
light of current costs for printing, postage, stationary etc. and our commitment to
encourage young singers to eventually take up Wagner roles. It is intended that, in the
absence of special circumstances, the new rates should remain in force for some years to
come.
The amounts payable for 2010 are :

JOINT MEMBERSHIP IS AVAILABLE: Payment of a joint membership subscription by a member enables another specified person resident at the same address to be included as a member. Such other person will generally have all the privileges of membership, but one copy only of the Society's publications is sent, addressed to the first-named member.
We do not have the facility at the present time to arrange membership via the WWW. To assist people wishing to join the society, there is our Membership Application Form. This should be printed out and sent along with cheque or money order directly to the membership secretary.

I would like The Wagner Society to reclaim the tax on any membership subscription or donation that I have made since 6 April 2000 and any future gift I make. I have paid an amount of UK income tax or capital gains tax equal to any tax claimed.
